40 F.O.R.T.Y 40
I purchased my first journal in 2003 from a Barnes & Noble as a means to save all the 2″ x 1″ scripture cards I was receiving weekly from the church program I had been attending for two months.
But that changed, in just a moments time, when I became inspired to record and write about my newfound journey of faith.
By the time I walked out the store that fall November evening my fate had been sealed; unaware, God had set into motion my destiny by gently whispering into my heart.
Faith and Writing.
Three journals later, in 2006, while sitting in a church service a prophetic minister pointed me out and declared that he believed I had a writing ability, that God had given me this gift, and that there were things and books for me to write…
For the next 10 years of my life, as I continued to journal about the struggles and joys of my faith walk, I also questioned my writing ability.
How, What, When?
The answer came after watching a movie called War Room. Not too long after, I became inspired to war in a secret place about this writing. By the time I emerged from my closet, God had give me the content and format of the book. Page by page began to flow effortlessly and the book was published in 2017.
Today, it is 2019 with only a few pages left in my current journal. It is also my 40th year of living. As I considered my life and this new season, once again like in 2003, I became inspired to daily record and write my faith walk during my 40th year, only this time online.
May the words I pen encourage your own journey of faith.
